Russell Dow serves as the president of Dow Wealth Management and has been actively involved in the investment business for over two decades.

He received his law degree in 1993 from the University of Connecticut School of Law; he graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Cornell University with a concentration in mathematics.

Russell is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the MSBA Trusts & Estates Section. (Although he is admitted to practice law in the State of Maine, neither Russell nor Dow Wealth Management provides legal advice.)

He is the founder of Dow Software, LLC, a developer of investment management computer software for broker/dealers and their advisors. Dow Software’s products are used extensively by Dow Wealth Management in the management of client accounts.

Russell, his wife Krisztina, and their two children live in Sarasota, Florida.

As an avid entrepreneur, Rick has successfully created and sold a variety of businesses in Florida. Early in his career, he received a presidential appointment as a Chief of Staff in the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Reagan administration. Rick is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.

As an active member of his local community, Rick is proud to serve on the Salvation Army Advisory Board for Sarasota and has previously headed the Venice Advisory Board as its chairman. Rick is an accomplished musician, enjoys skiing, tennis, golf, and is a private pilot.

Robert Stepleman lectures and conducts seminars for Dow Wealth Management. Additionally, since 2000 he has written a weekly column on portfolio strategy that appears both in print and on the Internet, first for the New York Times Regional Newspapers and now for the Halifax Media Group. He has also written on portfolio risk management for Barron’s Financial Weekly. Additionally, he assists in the management of the investment portfolio of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

Dr. Stepleman holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Physics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He has taught at the University of Virginia and Rutgers University. He also spent 20 years at Exxon Research and Engineering Company and seven years with the RCA David Sarnoff Research Center.

Dr. Stepleman has lectured widely on practical methods for balancing portfolio risk and return. He espouses the view that investing success starts with portfolio design and ensuring that for each investment the potential reward justifies the risk taken on by making it.

Douglas Wellington lectures and conducts seminars for Dow Wealth Management. He holds a number of professional degrees including: BA in Economics from University of Pennsylvania; MBA in Finance from Wharton Graduate School; MBA equivalent in Accounting from New York University; JD from Rutgers Law School; and LLM from New York University. He is a Husson College associate professor, has worked in accounting and finance, is a former CPA, worked 10 years as an attorney, and five years as the president of an entertainment company.

Professor Wellington approaches the concept of investing from both the academic and realistic point of view. While academic theorists can postulate about many aspects of investing, Douglas combines theory with practical investment experience and empirical evidence to help educate the investing public.

Joel Cooper

Joel Cooper lectures and conducts seminars for Dow Wealth Management. He holds a number of professional degrees including: BA from Syracuse University; MS in Criminal Justice and Social Work from Florida State University; and MBA in Finance & Marketing from Nichols College. He is a Roger Williams University adjunct professor, and also is an adjunct faculty member at Bryant College. Additionally, Joel is the Director of the Center for Business Support at Roger Williams University.

Throughout Joel’s business and professional career he developed significant experience in risk management, including ownership of Benefits Unlimited, a health insurance brokerage firm, which ultimately was purchased by USI, a national insurance brokerage agency.

Zoltan Katona has had diverse and international business experiences. Originally from Miskolc, Hungary, he cofounded several service companies which were sold to major corporations. He has designed and implemented a number of logistic solutions and conducted air freight operations from offices in the US, Asia, and Europe. A resident of Dubai, Zoltan has held leading positions in a variety of Middle East businesses during their startup phases.

Most recently, he has overseen the formation of a new corporate division in Central Asia and Europe for a prominent family business. Zoltan is fluent in Hungarian, English, and German.

He lives in Dubai, UAE with his wife Monica and their children.

Chester Rodeheaver is the founder of Pont Capital, a Dubai-based investment boutique. Chester advises clients on a range of transactions, including acquisitions, valuations, private placements, private investment funds, cross-border joint ventures, and many others. He has led transaction valued at over US$ 1 billion, working on both the buy side and the sell side. Chester was previously a capital asset management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.

He holds a Master’s in economic development from Harvard University, a Bachelor’s in economics from the University of Virginia, and has studied at the University of Paris IV, Sorbonne, and in Aachen, Germany.
