Russell Dow serves as the president of Dow Wealth Management and has been actively involved in the investment business for over two decades.

He received his law degree in 1993 from the University of Connecticut School of Law; he graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Cornell University with a concentration in mathematics.

Russell is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the MSBA Trusts & Estates Section. (Although he is admitted to practice law in the State of Maine, neither Russell nor Dow Wealth Management provides legal advice.)

He is the founder of Dow Software, LLC, a developer of investment management computer software for broker/dealers and their advisors. Dow Software’s products are used extensively by Dow Wealth Management in the management of client accounts.

Russell, his wife Krisztina, and their two children live in Sarasota, Florida.

Clifford Dow is a native of, and grew up in, New England. He graduated in 1957 with a Bachelor’s degree in physics from Harvard College, and in 1960 with a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the Harvard Business School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Chartered Financial Consultant, a Certified Financial Planner, and a graduate of the College for Financial Planning.

Clifford started his career in the investment business in 1962 as a securities analyst on Wall Street, and has been in the investment business continuously for over five decades. He is the Chief Investment Officer for Dow Group companies.

For a number of years, as a member of the faculty of the Continuing Education Division of the University of Maine, he taught courses in business management and organization, accounting, business mathematics and statistics, financial management, and policy formulation and administration.

CFP® and Certified Financial Planner™ are certification marks owned by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. These marks are awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Richard (Rick) Benoit brings to Dow Wealth Management over 20 years of experience as a financial and management professional, including CFO positions with several multinational corporations.

He earned an International MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1989, and received his AB from Colgate University in 1984. He passed the Uniform CPA exam, and holds various Securities licenses.

Rick’s business experience includes sales, finance, treasury and investments, strategic planning, currency management, HR benefits administration, and insurance and risk management. He is currently focused on the development of a strong financial advisor team, along with identifying and implementing best practices with regard to web-centric productivity initiatives for the firm.

Rick lives in Rye, New Hampshire.

Clifford Dow, Jr. attended Colby College and the University of Maine, from which he graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. He has over 25 years of experience with assisting clients in the securities markets and has been an investment broker since 1989.

Cliff lives in New Gloucester with his family. He is an avid outdoorsman and pilot, maintaining his own aircraft and landing strip (54ME) at his farm.

As an avid entrepreneur, Rick has successfully created and sold a variety of businesses in Florida. Early in his career, he received a presidential appointment as a Chief of Staff in the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Reagan administration. Rick is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.

As an active member of his local community, Rick is proud to serve on the Salvation Army Advisory Board for Sarasota and has previously headed the Venice Advisory Board as its chairman. Rick is an accomplished musician, enjoys skiing, tennis, golf, and is a private pilot.

Avard Dow, Jr. is a financial advisor and options strategist with over 40 years of investment experience. Avard did his undergraduate studies in psychology and premed at the University of Maine, Orono. He is a graduate of the New York Institute of Finance and the Goethe Institute, Germany. Avard lives in Naples, Maine on Long Lake, where he pursues his interest in gemstone mining and high performance boats.

Gerry Guild is recognized nationally as an authority on bonds and portfolio strategy. He has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Financial World, Money, and Business Week. His TV appearances include Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, CNNfn, NBC, and Reuters.

A graduate of Brown University with a degree in economics, Gerry began his career on Wall Street in 1961. He served as the Chief Fixed Income Strategist and Director at Advest from 1984 to 2002.

Gerry is a Senior Analyst with the New York Society of Security Analysts covering fixed income analysis, microeconomics, portfolio strategy, and asset allocation. He has served as an Arbitrator for FINRA and the New York Stock Exchange since 1996 is an Adjunct Instructor for Fixed Income Securities at the New York University Finance Law and Taxation School of Continuing and Professional Studies. As well, Gerry is a contributing author for the book, “Expert Financial Planning,” by Robert C. Arffa, M.D. and a Life Member of Fixed Income Analysts Society, Inc.

Eric Lusk has worked in the financial industry for over twenty years. He began in 1988 as an account assistant to a pair of portfolio managers who managed $350 million in assets at the trust and estate bank, U.S. Trust. Then he spent two years as a financial analyst at the investment survey company Value Line Publishing, Inc. There he wrote analyst reports and earnings projections for forty public-traded corporations in seven different industries.

Eric started as a financial advisor with Dean Witter in 1997 and has been in the independent advisory channel since 2003. His clients include institutional money managers, retirement plans, and individual investors.

Eric graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a concentration in Latin American Economic Development.

His civic activities include the last ten years as a Rotarian, a member of the Cape Elizabeth Water Extrication Team, and the Yarmouth Economic Development Advisory Committee.

Eric and his wife Holly live with their two children in Harpswell, Maine.

Robert Stepleman lectures and conducts seminars for Dow Wealth Management. Additionally, since 2000 he has written a weekly column on portfolio strategy that appears both in print and on the Internet, first for the New York Times Regional Newspapers and now for the Halifax Media Group. He has also written on portfolio risk management for Barron’s Financial Weekly. Additionally, he assists in the management of the investment portfolio of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

Dr. Stepleman holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Physics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He has taught at the University of Virginia and Rutgers University. He also spent 20 years at Exxon Research and Engineering Company and seven years with the RCA David Sarnoff Research Center.

Dr. Stepleman has lectured widely on practical methods for balancing portfolio risk and return. He espouses the view that investing success starts with portfolio design and ensuring that for each investment the potential reward justifies the risk taken on by making it.

Tim Edmond is a Financial Advisor with over 35 years in the financial services industry. He earned a BS degree from Penn State University. Tim joined Northwestern Mutual in 1985 and spent 30 years with Northwestern Mutual building a clientele selling life and disability insurance as well as investment products. He was a life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table and holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and the Chartered Advisory for Senior Living (CASL) designations from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Tim provides a comprehensive approach to planning for both his individual and business clients. He has embraced the Dow Wealth Management investment strategy with an emphasis on high-quality growth securities, academic in principle and disciplined in its management. Diane Edmond provides Administrative Support to the Danbury, CT office. She joined Dow Wealth Management in August of 2016.

Diane attended Western Connecticut State University and the Danbury Business Institute. She has worked most of her career in the medical field supporting eight Board Certified Dermatology Surgeons as a Clinical Surgical Coordinator & Credentialing Specialist. Diane also worked for an Orthopedic Foot & Ankle specialist handling day-to-day operations of the physician’s practice and surgical scheduling.

After her career in the medical field she transitioned to the financial industry with Dow Wealth Management.

Diane resides in Sherman, CT with her husband Tim. They have two children.

He started his career at PepsiCo in different sales management positions eventually transitioning to a territory manager with Boston Scientific supporting pulmonary physicians in New Jersey.

Upon joining Dow Wealth Management in 2018, Shane has focused his time working with business owners, families, and physicians. His past experiences gave him a unique perspective on the challenges entrepreneurs and practitioners face. His services include investment management, retirement planning, financial advice, and a virtual family office structure. His focus is primarily on new business development, current client relationships and firm workflow efficiency.

Shane currently lives in West Caldwell, NJ with his wife Danielle and their Shiba Inu, Allegra.

Madeline Rheaume is an administrative assistant providing support to Dow Wealth Management’s financial advisors and their clients. She is enthusiastic about being in the industry and is working toward getting her Series 65 license.

Madeline is a graduate of Southern Maine Community College with degrees in Liberal Arts as well as Communications and New Media. Her studies focused on photography and the graphic arts.

She was born and raised in Maine, and currently lives in Kennebunk. On the weekends when she’s not at the beach, you’ll find Madeline hiking in the White Mountains with her camera or driving her old Miata around the scenic backroads.

Douglas Wellington lectures and conducts seminars for Dow Wealth Management. He holds a number of professional degrees including: BA in Economics from University of Pennsylvania; MBA in Finance from Wharton Graduate School; MBA equivalent in Accounting from New York University; JD from Rutgers Law School; and LLM from New York University. He is a Husson College associate professor, has worked in accounting and finance, is a former CPA, worked 10 years as an attorney, and five years as the president of an entertainment company.

Professor Wellington approaches the concept of investing from both the academic and realistic point of view. While academic theorists can postulate about many aspects of investing, Douglas combines theory with practical investment experience and empirical evidence to help educate the investing public.

Joel Cooper

Joel Cooper lectures and conducts seminars for Dow Wealth Management. He holds a number of professional degrees including: BA from Syracuse University; MS in Criminal Justice and Social Work from Florida State University; and MBA in Finance & Marketing from Nichols College. He is a Roger Williams University adjunct professor, and also is an adjunct faculty member at Bryant College. Additionally, Joel is the Director of the Center for Business Support at Roger Williams University.

Throughout Joel’s business and professional career he developed significant experience in risk management, including ownership of Benefits Unlimited, a health insurance brokerage firm, which ultimately was purchased by USI, a national insurance brokerage agency.

Zoltan Katona has had diverse and international business experiences. Originally from Miskolc, Hungary, he cofounded several service companies which were sold to major corporations. He has designed and implemented a number of logistic solutions and conducted air freight operations from offices in the US, Asia, and Europe. A resident of Dubai, Zoltan has held leading positions in a variety of Middle East businesses during their startup phases.

Most recently, he has overseen the formation of a new corporate division in Central Asia and Europe for a prominent family business. Zoltan is fluent in Hungarian, English, and German.

He lives in Dubai, UAE with his wife Monica and their children.

Chester Rodeheaver is the founder of Pont Capital, a Dubai-based investment boutique. Chester advises clients on a range of transactions, including acquisitions, valuations, private placements, private investment funds, cross-border joint ventures, and many others. He has led transaction valued at over US$ 1 billion, working on both the buy side and the sell side. Chester was previously a capital asset management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.

He holds a Master’s in economic development from Harvard University, a Bachelor’s in economics from the University of Virginia, and has studied at the University of Paris IV, Sorbonne, and in Aachen, Germany.
